The Pavilion Music Company is a dedicated group of 19 musicians who perform contemporary big band jazz in the Greater Cincinnati area. Formed in 1975, the band has accumulated an extensive library of big band standards by Basie, Ellington, Herman, Kenton, Ferguson, Thad Jones and others. The book also includes cutting edge arrangements by, among others, Bill Holman, Maria Schnieder, Dennis Mackrel and John Fedchock, as well as a large collection of originals by current and former band members. EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAM AT WINTON WOODS HIGH SCHOOL

On January 30th the Pavilion Music Company will perform with the Winton Wood H.S. Jazz ensemble in our 4th annual Education Outreach Program.

The concert will feature one set by the WWHS ensemble and one set by the PMC. Then we will team up to form a REALLY BIG band and perform a couple of numbers together. This concert is always great fun, and you won’t want to miss it. The student band brings a lot of enthusiasm to the stage, and we get to show them that there can be musical life after high school. Vocalist Erik James will croon a few numbers, too!

In February, we’ll return to the Monmouth Theatre for our regular Sunday evening shows.
